More advice for my son.

Do not enter an agreement that you cannot keep.  Laziness and wisdom are diametrically opposed.  We should not need external motivation to work hard.  If we are overzealous for relaxation the consequences will be disastrous. 

Do not lust after an evil woman.  Stay away from her flattering tongue.  Remember the word of God – He who commits adultery lacks understanding and destroys his own soul.  Stay away from the wicked man who has a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies and one who sows discord amongst the brethren.  Remember this every day of your life:

For the Commandment is a lamp, the law is a light and reproofs of instruction are the way of life (Proverbs 6:23)
